A special power on a Pokemon card that can be used at any time during your turn (unless restricted by another effect).
Abilities replaced Poke-Powers and Poke-Bodies in the Black & White era. Each Pokemon with an Ability can use it once per turn. Some Abilities are passive (always active), others are activated (tap to use). Abilities are shut off when the Pokemon is affected by certain card effects.
